I'm Fighting For

My Community

"I come from a proud family that has been involved with public service for as long as I can remember. I want to work for you.  With over two decades of public service experience, I know what it takes to find solutions, navigate the complicated governmental agencies, and get things done."  As an educator and long time resident of Harlem, I have seen the rents skyrocket and price out residents who have lived here for generations. I have seen our schools underfunded and overlooked for programs that would build on the skills our children naturally possess.  I know what it feels like to struggle to pay the rent and put food on the table.  We can improve our schools, provide services for seniors and provide affordable housing for long-time residents and those seeking a diverse, safe and welcoming community.
Harlem is a diamond in the rough, there are untapped resources of knowledge, talent and ideas within our community.  If we work TOGETHER, we can create a community that is fair for all, inclusive, thriving and safe.
Standing Together We Can Win!

As a Special Educator for more than twenty years, Sheba has seen first hand the detrimental effects if children don't have the resources and services they need. We can no longer remain silent as our children do not receive the resource they are owed.

New York City continues to raise rents and forcing people to move out of their neighborhoods where they have lived for decades. We need to invest in affordable and low-income housing to ensure we keep people in their communities.

Small Businesses & Jobs

Sheba is the founder of The Central Harlem Merchant Coalition to Save Small Businesses and Jobs; an initiative to get fair long-term leases and job opportunities for formerly incarcerated people.

Our seniors need top notch services and quality care. We can no longer wait to provide our most vulnerable population with the resources they deserve.
